So my Mom came to town last weekend which was so much fun! We love company! We decided to take a train ride since Ella and Molly have never been on a train. They really did enjoy it!

Happy 50th Birthday to The Cat In The Hat!

Fun Fact:

Did you know that Dr. Seuss used only 236 different words to write THE CAT IN THE HAT?

Since we have quite the collection of Dr. Seuss books at our house...I thought the girls might like this fun event @ the Library! Today Ella and Molly went for the celebration of the 50th Birthday of The Cat In The Hat. Miss Leona read them two books: The Cat In the Hat and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss. They were given cute hats (face paint) Red and Blue fish sugar cookies (very cute by the way) and they made a place mat which they got to color and laminate. FUN activity today for the munchkins!

Word of Caution

So I totally got into deep cleaning mode yesterday! I washed bedding...floors...showers...toys...and pulled out all furniture from its current spot to vacuum, dust and sanitize! I was in the girls room...I pulled Ella's bed out from the wall and found a few toys and books under it. Not thinking, I bent down to pick them up...while the vacuum was still on mind you...my hair got sucked up into the vacuum! Needless to say, it hurt!! I was flustered and began flayling my arms about like a mad woman! I finally spoted the red OFF button. To my suprise a small portion of my hair was tightly wrapped around the bristles of the vacuum!

The worst part is... all Spencer could do was laugh histerically!!

Watch out your vacuum might attack you!

Alligators and Pickles

Down...need a good laugh!
We are reading a book last night before bed...there is a picture of an alligator. Ella turns to me and says, "Alligators are made of Pickles right Mom?"

Spencer and I proceede to laugh histerically! I respond by saying, I don't think in school that I ever learned about Alligators being made of pickles but they sure do look like they are!

I need a KitchenAid!

Ok...so my great friend Lindsay makes the best bread and orange rolls...cinnamon rolls...and anything really, the girl is a great cook!

Well, everytime I eat some of her bread or rolls I always explain how delicious they are. I finally got the recipe from her. I have made the bread 3 times and the rolls 4 times...do you think any of them have turned out?? NO NO NO..What am I doing wrong?? seriously...

I went to her house Saturday to watch her make her bread and rolls. Do you think I watched close enough? NO NO NO... I went over to my friend Tara's house today to make bread... do you think our rolls turned out? NO NO NO.

I have officially given up until I get a KITCHENAID MIXER! And seriously I need to go to a bread making class!

So my hubby has been studying hard...He never likes to divulge his academic performance to people because he doesn't like the attention. Spencer is very gifted in the way of his schooling and studies. I am so proud of him for his great accomplishment with his first sememster whoop whoop! Keep it up! Good luck next week with tests!! I love you sweetie!

"Fe Fe"

The FUNNY Story goes like this..We are driving in the car...
Ella: "Mom I need a baby brother."
Kim: Well Ella I am sorry...you have a little sister Molly...
Ella: Yeah, but we need a brother...
Kim: What would his name be?
Ella: We could call him FeFe...or Rock...or just not a girl name...
Kim: Ella, how would we get a baby brother?
Ella: Mom, you just go to the hospital and pick one out!
Kim: Oh, I wish it were that easy...lol
What would you do with a baby brother? All we have are girl toys in our house!
Ella: Mom, it's easy...we would just play outside in the dirt and then I would put him in the street and he would get hit by a car... and then Jesus would save him...
Kim: Ella that isn't nice to put people in the street...
Ella: Mom, you won't let me do that with Molly so I will just do it with FeFe.

Can you guess what we talked about for family night??

Oh MY.....No we are not having another child...and I don't know if we ever will...I am a little scared of what Ella might do! The funny things she says!

Park=Fun

Park equals= Fun!!

Miss Molly loves to swing. As soon as she sees the park she will repeatedly say shing shing...which mean SWING!

Ella has mastered the art of imagination! There is a little rocket she likes to climb...she will then blast off to the moon!

So...we are trying to teach Ella about the spider on the swing..you know how you sit on the swing with another person...come on you did it as a child remember...well she only likes to swing on her "tummy."

FHE Snow White

For Family Night...Ella was responsible for our lesson. She decided to talk about the Disney Princess Snow White. She told us of how she ran away from the wicked queen and found the 7 dwarves then the wicked old hagg came and made Snow White eat a poisoned apple and she died and the prince came to kiss her and they lived happily ever after. ..Great story...well, she then proceeded to explain that Snow White was kind and made gooseberry pies and cleaned for the 7 dwarves..."Mommy I will cook and clean too."

She is a gem! I thought she was quite cute with teaching us a "lesson" on being kind...Glad she learned something from the movie...we have seen it at least 34 times (no joke!)....When Ella finds a movie she really enjoys we watch it over and over again!
