Ella and her horse Rose

Molly and her pony skittles

Fun with Nanny at the Farm! We were able to take a hay ride and see the fun animals...despite the sad faces the girls are making they had a wonderful time. Molly was just elated she got to ride on a horse...she did not stop talking about it the entire ride home.

The girls cousin Travis has his very own John Deere Tractor...This kid can cruise! Ella took a spin around the yard and crashed..no broken bones...

Ella's buddy...Uncle Jay! He taught her about rockets...Which she hasn't stopped talking about since our visit..thanks Jay!

The little magoo likes to run without clothes whenever possible. She was doing bubbles with Aunt Amy and got soaked.

The girls in the little Red Radio Flyer Wagon!...This was the wagon I played with as a child...oh memories...

Allie...Ella's best buddy...well besides T-Rex!

Bath time for T-Rex...of course Ella wanted to help!
One more... little Molly!

Little swimmers

Molly cried every lesson...she was happy only when picking up the rings with Ms. Tara

Ella learning to dive!

We decided to have the girls take swim lessons...since living here in Vegas the weather is warm year round...We thought it would be a safe thing to do since we are at the pool everyday! Ella has 4 more lessons to go! She can swim like a fish! Seriously I am impressed...thanks Tara!

Ants

Ella: "Mom! I found some ants and a lady bug! I really want a pet so can I keep them in a jar?

Me: "No Ella, they like to live outside."

Ella: "Why did Jesus make ants and bugs if you don't like them?"

Me: "Because he liked to make animals and bugs."

Ella: "No Mom that's not right...Jesus made them because the grasshopper needs something to eat and so do the birds."

Who taught her the circle of life??

1 Down

Spencer finished his first year of Medical School today!! Hooray!!
We have gotten to know many new friends and have really enjoyed our first year of school.
Things we learned:

1. Don't always trust what your neighbor says.
2. Enjoy each day as it comes. Sometimes it is best to live life only in the moment given.
3. Plan..Play...Execute! Be willing to make adjustments... things don't always go as planned.
4. Do not use liquid dish soap in the dishwasher...ha ha jokes on you Spencer!
5. Make new friends but call home often to family...they are always there for you!

We have really come to love each other and our family...we have learned some great life lessons the hard way but truly are grateful for each other. Thanks to all our family and friends for the support given us this past year.

We are excited to enjoy some great time together this summer!!

Random

Ok... So I was downloading some pics from the camera to the computer and I found this random picture with several others. Ella actually took this picture and she showed me the spot it was taken...silly girl! She loves the camera. I need to get her a camera of her very own. This is actually a really great photo. We have these beautiful bushes here in Vegas that grow red berries on them. They are beautiful!

Rewind

We had some ha ha funny moments this week...

1. We were out shopping and Spencer totally stopped @ a green light! I was laughing so hard as I said..."what are you doing?" He laughed and said I'm just being cautious! ha ha

2. Ella was eating breakfast on Monday...I poured her a bowl of cereal and gave her a spoon. I then asked her if she would like milk...in a really silly voice she said "don't mind if I do!" Where did she learn that?

3. So I made these yummy little individual cheese cakes for dessert tonight. I opened the fridge to get the Redi Whip out to top the cheese cakes...I cannot find it...so I opened the freezer thinking maybe Spencer put it in there by mistake last night...No not in there either?? So I opened the pantry...that is where I found it! I started laughing then got a little upset...really it says in big letters on the bottle "KEEP REFRIGERATED." I had to throw it out. Luckily I had some whipping cream from the Cheesey potatoes I was making for dinner...I whipped some of that up and whaaallaaaw! They tasted better with the real stuff anyway!

4. Mother's Day...Ella and Spencer went on a date the other night to get a present. While reading books in the girls room...Ella says to me.."Mom you are really gonna love your brown slippers they are really soft!" I will share your candy bar too ok?" What happened to keeping the gift a secret? ha ha

5. Last the best... I was bathing Molly thursday night while Spencer took Ella on a date. I went to the linnen closet to get a clean towel. I come back into the bathroom and Molly is saying.. "poop" "poop" So I got closer to the tub...sure enough she had gone #2 in the tub. I told her that was naughty and she laughed and said... "Mommy poop tub...Mommy poop tub" like she was so proud! (It took me 30 minutes to clorox the tub and the entire bucket of toys she had dumped into the tub that night)...Silly child. She is a handful!
