funnies!

Last weekend we went out with our friends. Jill was going to watch the girls for us. As we are leaving the conversation goes like this:

Ella: Mommy where are you going?
Me: Mommy and Daddy are going on a date
Ella: A Date? What's that?
Me: Where Mommy and Daddy spend time together
Ella: Oh! I not go with you?
Me: No Aunt Jill is going to play with you
Ella: Oh! Not me...just Molly...I go on a date too with Manny.
Me: Laughing!

So last week my mom and sisters and I went to the fabric store to get some fabric for the Easter dresses my mom is making for the girls.

Ella found this HUGE frog (stuffed animal) and she carted this thing around the store for over an hour. Mind you he is the same size as she is if not bigger! He was put in time out -- given a nap -- and fruit snacks cause he was hungry!

When it was time to leave Ella took him up to the cash register and asked the lady quote, "how many monies is him?" I had to buy it for her. She then proceeded to tell us in the car quote, "His name is "Mannuel" but we can call him "Manny" for short ok Mom."

We don't know where she got this name from but the frog has come to the rescue many times.
I am so happy for simple pleasures in life!

"Brown Bear"

Ella has always had a passion for books! She likes them so much that when she finds a favorite, we read it over and over again...she really likes the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See" by Eric Carle. She has many of his books memorized because they are her quote "favorite."

Molly enjoys listening to Ella and has a new interest about grabbing things and putting them into her mouth, including Ella's books!

Valentine Hearts

We hung the hearts in our window...
Valentine Hearts made out of crayon shavings. All you do is shave red, pink, and purple crayons. Next you place the shavings on a piece of wax paper. Cover the shavings with another piece of wax paper and use a warm iron to melt the crayon shavings. What a fun project!

Ella Jane had a great time. She enjoys craft day at our house. Thanks Lyndsie for the great craft idea!!

Confession

I can't stop eating sweets.... When I want a snack instead of going for the Apples or Bananas in my fruit bowl sitting on the counter, I want cookies, chocolate, ice cream and goodies! No one can stop me...not even the trainer... It was all those Holiday goodies....I have got to stop! Does anyone else have the same problem??

Lights...Camera...Smile!

With a little sister, Ella Jane doesn't get as much personal time with Mom and Dad....So we took her out to dinner and down to Temple Square before Christmas to see the lights. We had to park down by the Gateway.. we decided to ride trax up a few blocks. Ella is facinated with TRAINS and we thought this would be something fun for her to do. We enjoyed ourselves and Ella liked all the PINK lights the very best! When we got back to my parents house to pick up Molly all Ella could talk about was the train ride...nothing about the lights... Children are so amused by the simplest of things and that I think is wonderful!

"My Masterpiece"

CHECK It OUt!
Spencer purchased me an awesome sewing machine for my birthday! I have put it to good use and made a few things!
I made this blanket yesterday while the girls were napping. One side is Chenel (soft and fuzzy) and the other side is flannel. I had a few incounters with the sewing machine but I finished my piece of work in good time!

Cutest Girls on the Block

Ella Jane and Molly are such good girls. We share lots of hugs and kisses @ our house! Ella Jane just loves her "sissy Molly." Ella likes to have Molly lay next to her in her big girl bed so I let her occasionally. Ella is so willing to help me with changing diapers and clothes and whatever else needs attention...she is there!!

"Building" memories

Ella Jane is there when you need her. She really likes tools for some strange reason. She enjoys helping when we need to fix something (usually replacing batteries in a toy of some sort). Today we built her bookshelf/toys shelf for the living room. It organizes everything a little better. She of course helped me with the tools and told her daddy that she quote "built him something." How fun....
